Program Details

This is a one-year foundation program, compressed to six months and delivered Online, that aims at preparing students to care for others in an healthcare setting.

The Personal Worker Program prepares students to meet the needs of patients with injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Students will learn about the physical, emotional and psychological impacts of the injuries, illnesses, developmental delays or disabilities. The program is designed to provide optimum care, to provide information on various resources, to build confidence and self reliance.

Admission Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Alberta Grade 12 English Language and Mathematics completion or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test with a minimum score of 450 in each of the five tests.
  • Students from non-English speaking countries should provide proof of English Proficiency; IELTS with an overall band of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each band, CELPIP with an overall band of 6 and none less than 6, or a minimum TOEFL score of 78 (CBT), with nothing less than 19 in each band.
