Program Details

This is a six-month foundation program aimed at developing the skills required to work with today's children. This program emphasizes theoretical and practical skills in gaining knowledge and develop competencies in such areas as child development, interpersonal relations, curriculum content, family studies, and program management. You will learn valuable skills, helpful for achieving your professional and personal goals; ultimately advancing your career.

Admission Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Alberta Grade 12 English Language and Mathematics completion or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test with a minimum score of 450 in each of the five tests.
  • Students from non-English speaking countries should provide proof of English Proficiency; IELTS with an overall band of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each band, CELPIP with an overall band of 6 and none less than 6, or a minimum TOEFL score of 78 (CBT), with nothing less than 19 in each band.
